Objective To systematically evaluate the effect of Taohe Chengqi Decoction combined with Western Medicine for the treatment of endometriosis. Methods Randomized controlled trials related to Taohe Chengqi Decoction combined with Western Medicine for the treatment of endometriosis were collected by retrieving from the databases of China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, VIP, PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and The Cochrane Library, etc. After screening enrolled literature, extracting data, and evaluating quality, Meta⁃analysis was performed using the RevMan 5.4 software. Results A total of 9 randomized controlled trials were enrolled. The results of Meta⁃analysis revealed that the observation group exhibited a higher total clinical effectiveness rate compared to the control group. Additionally, the observation group interpreted lower serum estradiol, progesterone, and carbohydrate antigen 125 levels, as well as reduced ovarian artery pulsatility index and resistance index, while demonstrating superior ovarian artery peak systolic velocity and mean follicular growth rate as compared with the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Taohe Chengqi Decoction combined with Western Medicine can decrease serum estradiol, progesterone, and carbohydrate antigen 125 levels in endometriosis patients, promote follicular development to a certain extent, improve ovarian artery hemodynamics, and enhance therapeutic effects. It is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
