Objective To explore the status of Traditional Chinese Medicine health and cultural literacy in adolescents with chronic diseases and its influencing factors. Methods A total of 350 hospitalized adolescents aged 10 to 18 years with chronic diseases were selected to perform a questionnaire investigation on Traditional Chinese Medicine health and cultural literacy. The status of their Traditional Chinese Medicine health and cultural literacy was investigated, and the binary Logistic regression model was used to analyze its influencing factors. Results The possession rate of health and cultural literacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine among adolescents with chronic diseases was 9.2%. The results of binary Logistic regression analysis revealed that Traditional Chinese Medicine related knowledge training, duration of illness, parents' educational level, and parents' occupation were the influencing factors for Traditional Chinese Medicine health and cultural literacy in adolescents with chronic diseases (P<0.05). Conclusion The overall status of health and cultural literacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in adolescents with chronic diseases needs to be improved, and it is affected by Traditional Chinese Medicine related knowledge training, duration of illness, parents' educational level and parents' occupation.
