Objective To explore the clinical effect of Xiaozhong Zhitong Prescription for sitz bath and external use of Zhike Shengji Powder in patients after mixed hemorrhoids surgery. Methods A total of 82 patients after mixed hemorrhoids surgery were selected as the research subjects, and according to the random number table method, they were divided into control group or study group, with 41 cases in each group. The control group received Xiaozhong Zhitong Prescription for sitz bath, whereas the study group received Xiaozhong Zhitong Prescription for sitz bath and external use of Zhike Shengji Powder for treatment. The clinical efficacy, postoperative recovery with respect to perianal pain remission time, anal edema remission time, wound healing time, and Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome score, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score for perianal pain and anal edema score before treatment and 2 weeks after treatment, anal functions in terms of anal sensation, defecate control, anal closure, maximum systolic pressure in anal canal, resting pressure in anal canal, high pressure zone length in anal canal before treatment and after 1 month of treatment, as well as the occurrence states of complications were compared between patients of the two groups. Results The study group exhibited a higher total effective rate, shorter perianal pain remission time, anal edema remission time, and wound healing time as compared with the control group (P<0.05). After 2 weeks of treatment, both groups expressed lower score of Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome, VAS score for perianal pain, and anal edema score as compared with before treatment, and the aforementioned indices of the study group were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). After 1 month of treatment, both groups indicated lower anal sensation score, defecate control score, anal closure score, and a shorter high pressure zone length in anal canal as compared with before treatment; furthermore, interpreted higher maximum systolic pressure in anal canal, and higher resting pressure in anal canal as compared with before treatment, and the study group exert a superior improvement of the aforementioned indices as compared with the control group (P<0.05). The total incidence rate of complications of the study group was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Xiaozhong Zhitong Prescription for sitz bath and external use of Zhike Shengji Powder can relieve symptoms of perianal pain and anal edema, reduce the occurrence of complications, improve therapeutic effect, and promote recovery of anal functions in patients after mixed hemorrhoids surgery.
