Objective To analyze the epidemiological distribution characteristics of new⁃onset occupational noise⁃induces deafness (ONID) in Guangxi from 2006 to 2023, and to provide a reference basis for the formulation of prevention and control strategies for ONID. Methods New⁃onset ONID cases reported in Guangxi from 2006 to 2023 were collected in the Occupational Disease and Health Hazard Monitoring Information System, which was a subsystem of China Disease Prevention and Control Information System. The descriptive analysis method was used to summarize the trend in the number of new⁃onset ONID cases in Guangxi from 2006 to 2023, and demographic characteristics, regional distribution and industry distribution characteristics of new⁃onset ONID cases in Guangxi from 2006 to 2023. Results A total of 92 ONID cases were newly diagnosed in Guangxi from 2006 to 2023, and the number of cases was generally fluctuating, therein the number of cases in 2014, 2017, 2019, 2022, and 2023 was higher. The majority of cases was male (accounting for 85.9%), the high incidence age was 35-59 years old, and the median working age of injury was 15.1 years. Most cases were distributed in Liuzhou, Nanning, Hechi, Guilin, mainly concentrated in the manufacturing industries of paper, chemical raw materials, and chemical products. The economic types of enterprises from which the cases originated were mainly state⁃owned enterprises with domestic capital, and the enterprise scale was mainly large, medium and small⁃sized enterprises. Conclusion From 2006 to 2023, the number of ONID new⁃onset cases in Guangxi is relatively small, and the morbidity may be affected by age, working age, gender, enterprise scale, industry type and other factors.
