Objective To observe the interventional effect of Wentong Bojin cupping therapy on cancer⁃related fatigue in postoperative chemotherapy patients with breast cancer. Methods A total of 84 postoperative chemotherapy patients with breast cancer who suffered from cancer⁃related fatigue were randomly divided into observation group or control group, with 42 cases in each group. Patients in the control group received routine nursing care for breast cancer chemotherapy, based on which patients in the observation group received Wentong Bojin cupping therapy. Both groups were continuously intervened for 4 weeks. The scores of the Revised Piper's Fatigue Scale (PFS⁃R), the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) scale, and the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy⁃Breast (FACT⁃B) scale before and after intervention, as well as nursing satisfaction after intervention, were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of each dimension and the total score of PFS⁃R, as well as the sleep quality dimension, sleep latency dimension, sleep duration dimension, sleep efficiency dimension, sleep disturbance dimension, and total score of PSQI scale in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the scores of each dimension and the total score of FACT⁃B scale, as well as nursing satisfaction, were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion On the basis of routine nursing care for breast cancer chemotherapy, the combined application of Wentong Bojin cupping therapy can more effectively alleviate fatigue symptoms, improve sleep quality and quality of life in postoperative chemotherapy patients with breast cancer who suffer from cancer⁃related fatigue, with high patients' satisfaction.
