With advances in cancer treatment, evolving societal attitudes toward fertility, and a global trend of declining fertility among people of reproductive age, fertility preservation technologies have become a central focus in reproductive medicine. China has made rapid progress in this field, with several technologies now at internationally advanced levels. These advancements offer more options for women facing fertility risk; however, future efforts are still needed to improve success rates and reduce risks. It is also essential to strictly adhere to ethical principles to fully protect the health rights of patients and their offspring. Although ethical and regulatory challenges remain key bottlenecks in the widespread adoption of female fertility preservation, international cooperation and continuous innovation provide new pathways for personalized and accessible solutions of female fertility preservation. This article reviews research progress on female fertility preservation technologies, including oocyte cryopreservation, ovarian tissue cryopreservation, and in vitro maturation, aiming to offer insights for further studies in this area.
