Male reproductive health issues are becoming increasingly prominent, and Traditional Chinese Medicine exerts unique advantages in the prevention and treatment of such diseases. Guizhi Decoction, a classical formula from the Shanghan Lun, was originally prescribed for contraction of external wind⁃cold but has demonstrated polypharmacological effects such as anti⁃inflammation, immunomodulation, and microcirculation in modern research, extending its clinical application into the field of andrology. However, current findings concerning Cinnamomi ramulus and its main active components for improving male reproductive function are at an early stage, and there is a lack of systematic exploration of the combined treatment mode of acupuncture and medication. This review integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and contemporary pharmacological research to systematically sort out the mechanisms of Cinnamomi ramulus in improving male reproductive function, with a focus on its synergistic effect when combined application with acupuncture and moxibustion, aiming to establish an integrated diagnostic⁃therapeutic mode combining Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, it provides new ideas for the prevention and treatment of male reproductive dysfunction, and promotes the standardization and internationalization of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the field of reproductive health.
